63 Sovereign
63 W. Granada Blvd., Ormond Beach; 386-238-9032,facebook.com/63Sovereign.
63 Sovereign will always be one of my favorite Daytona Beach area restaurants. The charming two-story house on Granada is perfect for date night or a girls' dinner, especially if you're in the mood for an Asian spin on supper. The restaurant has bao buns that are sweet, fluffy, and filled with savory fried chicken, fish, tofu or pork belly.

But the star of the dinner will forever be the sushi rolls. I always end up ordering a second round because I have no self-control when it comes to sushi. You can't go wrong with the Sovereign's Roll with cream cheese, tuna, salmon and shrimp tempura. But go ahead and order the Spicy Thai Tuna Roll and the delicate Salmon Crudo, too. 63 Sovereign also has fried rice for those wanting something simple yet delicious.
Ichi Ni San
246 S. Beach Street, Daytona Beach; 386-317-6421, ichinisandaytona.com
Ichi Ni San on Beach Street is a cute little spot serving a variety of Asian flavors. Ichi Ni San has it all if you're craving sushi, dim sum, poke bowls, fried rice, Thai curry dishes, noodle plates or pot soup dishes. The flavors are bold, and the portions are big, guaranteeing a to-go box. The authentic restaurant even has one of my favorite sweets: tempura fried cheesecake. Do not second guess if you need this dessert because I'm here to tell you, you do. It's rich, creamy and crunchy a combination you didn't know you needed.
Wild Ginger
1115 Cornerstone Blvd., Daytona Beach; 386-281-5587, wildgingerdaytona.com
The owner of Wild Ginger knows the way to my heart by placing a sushi restaurant right by the outlets. If you're like me and need to reward yourself after shopping with delicious sushi, then Wild Ginger is where it's at. I always get the Wild Ginger Roll with salmon, cream cheese and spicy tuna. The tasty rolls are on the bigger side, which I appreciate and they also serve curry dishes, ramen, poke, noodle and rice dishes. Wild Ginger seems to be always busy and a great place to dine in, but if your starving while waiting in the Marshalls line next door, place an order and pick it up on your way out. Can't you tell I've got this down to a science?
Publix
Multiple locations
You already know I'm going to give credit to Florida native Publix for their $5 sushi rolls on Wednesday. Every Wednesday, you can find me heading to the beach after stopping at Publix to pick up two sushi rolls to enjoy beachside. The rolls are on the smaller side, making this a perfect lunchtime snack while soaking up the sun. My favorites are the salmon and cream cheese roll as well as the crunchy roll. Sorry pub subs, Publix sushi rolls rule supreme in my book.
China Star
3831 S. Nova Road, Port Orange; 386-788-8698, portorangechinastar.com
Whenever I'm ready to binge-watch my favorite show, "Sex and the City," I must get into character by ordering Chinese food. My go-to order? Beef lo mein, orange chicken, fried rice and crab rangoon. Yes, I order all of this for myself (it's my lunch for the next couple of days). I always order my feast from China Star. They are consistent and have the nostalgic Chinese takeout flavor we all know and love. It's as simple as that.
Rice Bistro
3751 S. Clyde Morris Blvd., Port Orange; 386-238-9885, ricelabistro.com
After years of experimenting to find my perfect hangover cure (sorry, Mom), I finally cracked the code: Chicken pho. The broth brings me back to life and is light and flavorful. I always order my Vietnamese food from Rice Bistro. The restaurant also has Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Thai dishes, so there's something for everyone. Whether you want to dine in with their great service, pick up to enjoy at home or even have it delivered to your door, Rice Bistro has got you covered.
