Atta Halwa
This recipe has been in my mind for quite a long time..It is also called as Godumai Halwa, Wheat Flour Halwa also. This recipe is a basic recipe and it turns out just perfect. I have another version of halwa which is made with whole wheat. Will be sharing it soon.
This is one recipe which i wanted to make for a long time..This is such a easy recipe to make, and i know it will taste great.. I thought this would be a great recipe to share now as it is navrathri season.

Ingredients for Atta Halwa
- Wheat Flour / Atta - 1 cup
- Sugar - 1 cup
- Water - 1 cup
- Cardamom Powder - 1 tsp
- Ghee - ½ cup + 4 tblspn
- Raisans as needed
- Cashews as needed

How to Make Atta Halwa
- Heat ½ cup ghee in a kadai. Add in nuts and raisin and fry till golden. Drain and set aside.
- In the same pan, add in wheat flour and roast on low flame for a good 5 to 6 mins till the raw smell leaves away.
- Now add in water and keep mixing.
- Now add in sugar and mix well. Cook this by keep stirring it.
- After 5 mins or so, if you see the halwa sticky, add ghee tbsp at a time and keep mixing.
- I added around 4 tblspn more ghee to make it glossy and non sticky.
- Now add in cardamom powder and fried nuts.
- Mix well and serve.

Ingredients
- 1 cup Wheat Flour / Atta
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 cup Water
- 1 tsp Cardamom Powder
